At first, you may not recognize Xi’an, but once you know it’s most famous residents, you will.
Xi’an is home to the thousands of clay soldiers discovered in the latter part of the 20th century. Each of these figures has a unique head, and were presumably modeled after the Emperor’s actual soldiers. They are a sight to behold. It is highly recommended you have a guide to give you all the backstory of their creation and discovery.
Also in Xi’an, there is a wall that rings the city, that you can walk, or rent bicycles to tour the city. If you are making a trip to China, then Xi’an should be on your list.
